About Our Office

We're located in the heart of Bristol city centre, close to public transport links and with accessible facilities. Our office is on the ground floor with wheelchair access and an accessible toilet.

While we're happy to welcome walk-ins during opening hours, we recommend booking an appointment to ensure an advisor is available when you visit. This also gives us time to prepare for your consultation and gather any relevant information in advance.

If you're unable to visit in person, we offer telephone and video consultations that work just as well. For clients within a 30-mile radius who cannot easily travel, home visits can be arranged for an additional fee.

Finding Us

By Bus

Several bus routes stop within a few minutes' walk of our office. The nearest stops are on Rupert Street and Baldwin Street, both served by routes from across Bristol and surrounding areas. Check First Bus or Stagecoach West for specific route information.

By Train

Bristol Temple Meads station is approximately 15 minutes away on foot, or you can take a bus from the station. The office is also easily reached from Bristol Parkway via connecting bus services.

By Car

There are several car parks nearby including Trenchard Street Car Park and Canon's Road Car Park, both within five minutes' walk. Street parking is limited and mostly metered. We recommend using public car parks for longer visits.

On Foot

If you're walking from Broadmead or the Harbourside, head towards the City Centre via Baldwin Street. Our building is clearly marked and located between the junction with Queen Square and Temple Way.

What to Expect When You Contact Us

Initial Response

When you first get in touch, we'll arrange an initial consultation to discuss your situation. This usually lasts 30-45 minutes and gives us a chance to understand what help you need.

No Pressure

The consultation is an opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to explain how we can help. There's no obligation to proceed with our services – we're happy to provide initial guidance even if you decide to handle things yourself.

Clear Next Steps

If you decide to use our services, we'll explain exactly what's involved, how much it will cost, and what the timeline looks like. Everything is confirmed in writing so there are no surprises.

Ongoing Communication

Once we're working on your case, your advisor will keep you updated regularly. You'll always know what's happening and can contact us with questions at any time.

Common Questions

You're welcome to drop in during opening hours, but we strongly recommend booking an appointment. This ensures an advisor is available and has time to focus on your case properly. Walk-ins are seen on a first-come basis if advisors are free, but you may need to wait or come back another time.

We usually have availability within 3-5 working days, though urgent cases can sometimes be accommodated sooner. If you're facing an immediate deadline (such as a tribunal date or mandatory reconsideration deadline), let us know when you contact us and we'll do our best to prioritise your case.

Yes, we work with clients across the UK. Benefits law is the same throughout England, Wales, and Scotland, so we can provide the same level of support regardless of where you're based. Most of our work can be done remotely via phone, email, and video calls. For tribunal representation, we can travel to hearing centres across the country.

Bring any documents related to your benefits claim such as decision letters, medical evidence, bank statements, tenancy agreements, or wage slips. If you haven't got everything, don't worry – we can work out what's needed during the consultation. A notepad might be useful if you want to jot down what we discuss.

Absolutely. We treat all client information in strict confidence and handle your data in accordance with GDPR and data protection laws. Information is only shared with third parties (such as the DWP or tribunals) with your explicit consent and only when necessary for your case.

Our initial consultation includes basic guidance and an overview of your options at no charge. If you need ongoing support with applications or appeals, our services are charged as outlined on our services page. However, we can signpost you to free advice services in your area if cost is a barrier.

Other Sources of Help

While we believe our services offer excellent value and expertise, we understand that not everyone can afford paid advice. If our fees are beyond your budget, the following organisations offer free benefits advice:

  • Citizens Advice: Free, independent advice available in person, by phone, and online throughout the UK.
  • Turn2us: Benefits calculator and grants search, plus telephone advice on specific issues.
  • Age UK: Specialist advice for older people on benefits and care support.
  • Disability Rights UK: Information and advice specifically for people with disabilities.
  • StepChange: Free debt advice which includes benefits checks for people struggling financially.

These organisations do excellent work, though waiting times can sometimes be lengthy due to high demand. Our paid services offer more immediate, personalised support with dedicated advisors who see your case through from start to finish.
